Croatia 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Belize Green
2" lift
I lifted my defender with a terrafirma 2" light load lift kit .
It seams to me the rear side is too low, or is it normal?

Park it on a flat level surface and check again. The rear looks too low to me in comparison to the front. However it appears the rear may be on a slope? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Are you sure that the correct springs were supplied and fitted correctly to the front and rear as each axle has different springs and shocks according to the Terrafirma website. Whistle LANDYWATCH

I checked the terrafirma web site and it seems this is the correct suspension kit.
The surface is almost flat , I checked it on a completely flat surface but it doesn't mage any difference.
The suspension package was complete with stocks and springs.
The springs were mounted correctly , you can't mount the rear springs to the front .

Are all the springs seated correctly?

Do you have a internal storage locker in the back or anything?

Front looks fine to me with a lift its the back that looks low to be honest.

Take it for a drive where you get to use full articulation and you may find you get some clunks and low "twang" noises as it all finds it happy spot.

Also, do you have a rear anti roll bar fitted?

the springs are seateled correct , I checked it more than ones .
But the anti roll bar could be the answer of my problem.
I haven't do any changes to the roll bar, what can I do except remove it ?

Tow bar spacers have the same bolt spacing so use a pair of spacers to move your Anti roll bar mounts away from the chassis. Improves the handling too Thumbs Up

Something don't look right mate . I give all my cars a 2" lift and can get my head under all arches . There's 94cm or just under 37 inches from floor to arches .

and there is me having the opposite problem!! just removed 2 inch lift for standard springs and it doesnt look any different. i do have isolators on though!

I took off the anti roll bar but the rear side is still 4 cm lower than the front :bulb:
I'm not sure when I'll mount the spacers the rear side will rise for 4 cm.
It seams the back spring is too week , but the same light load front spring looks perfect

The anti roll bar won't alter the ride height, the problem must be the spring ratings/quality.

Thank you all for your suggestions, Ill write to the shop that sold me the suspensions , I hope will get some replacent sprigs that would work correctly

What I've been told is the springs are different sizes ie to allow for the road cambour the roads taper off to the left so rain water will run away so the springs on the near side are slightly longer than the offside to keep the vehicle level just what I've heard how true I don't know but if that's the case are the springs in the wrong places

both sides of the vehicle are equal (if you mean left and right) , it is impossible to mount the front springs to the rear so I will say the sprains are on the right place

Some measurements for Loki


Measuring from centre of wheel arch whilst being parked on level ground.


Black 110 on standard suspension


Front 34"/865mm Rear 35"/885mm



Red 110 on heavy duty suspension same size tyres as black 110


Front 36.5"/930mm Rear 37.75"/960mm




Actual measurements will depend on tyre size/condition/pressure and spring rating.


With minimal load in the rear the rear will be about 25-30 mm higher then the front. So it might be worth while getting tape measure out Loki.
