It's f'in brilliant!
It doesn't fit PUMAs though Got one on my tdi and can't sing its praises high enough - it locks in under a second and it takes at MOST 5 seconds to unlock - usually nearer 3. That and when unlock it just folds down and 'becomes' part of the floor - no lump to whack you in the head if you have a crash, and no mucking about strapping/locking it down Really couldn't sing its praises high enough. |

You've described all of the benefits against the others but is it as secure.. how easy would it be for someone to force it off (hinges or otherwise)?

read the site:
all the hinges are built into the metal pieces, so nothing to prise off - it comes with security bolts/nuts to hold it to the floor there's a 10mm hook around the brake pedal and the whole thing is something like 6mm stainless steel - going to take some doing and a load of noise getting that off! There was a report on the old X-eng website that someone had had an attempted theft of their 90 - and the perps had had a go at the pedal lock with a scaffold bar and couldn't get it off. |

Does the plate rattle when its folded down and you're driving..
I also see that it's out of stock on the x-eng website.. |

Paddocks sell them too
And nope, no rattle. The claw bit may at first if you haven't tightened the bolts enough. |

It bolts to the floor panel. There are 5 or 6 bolts provided - but you won't get them all in. I think the instructions says 3 is sufficient.
Yes floor will need to be drilled to get bolts through! |

So the bottom bolts to the floor and the top clamps around the brake pedal, is that right.. I wouldn't want to drill into the bulkhead.

Quality info
I'm just musing where I would leave it in the vehicle when driving. Would prefer somewhere it could be secured - possibly a dummy post to be locked to. Anyone done anything with theirs? |

As Land Rover have stopped fitting a middle seat in the front of the Defender - I use that gap to manhandle my Adrenalin lock into the rear. It's so heavy it tends not to move about when driving along and it provides an upper body work out when retrieving it at my destination. Just don't drop it - or it will damage you or your Defender's interior. |
