2002 TD5 90 FUEL PUMP ACCESS HATCH
Can anyone point me in the correct direction... I have been looking for the measurement for cutting a access hole above the fuel pump on my 90 TD5, after a google search found the info on landyzone.. But after more opinions! I have drawn out a rectangle but surly a cyrcle would be better with a plastic hatch way bonded in?

Help appreciated!

Iwould cut a square hole easier with a small grinder use some rivnuts and screw an access panel on Thumbs Up

dont forget the tank is really close

Sounds like a good idea but holes are stronger due to less material being removed? Any measurements anyone?

I got hold of an old ex disco fuel pump access cover. it's round (with a slight flat on it making an "edge")

Got it from a scrapyard for nothing. think it's held in with 6 screws; I marked it out on top of my pump, cut the holes, and drilled the screw holes then filed them out square and used the plastic nut-serts which are tapped in. then I could use self tappers to remove it as often as I needed.

A Td5 pump will fit through the disco cover too.

I'll try and find some pics I took.
