Passenger wiper.
Hi all
I was making my way through Denmark today and my passanger wiper arm made a loud clonk and stop moving. The drivers side works still. The passanger arm wasn't returning as normal before and there was a build up of rust. Can someone advise me on how to go about fixing this DIY style.
Many Thanks.

See if the wiper arm moves with the motor off. Would mean the drive teeth are broken.
You'll have to get at the drive box behind the wiper spindle.
Remove the backplate and withdraw the wiper spindle.
Sometimes it will rotate 180 degrees to fresh gear teeth.
Otherwise you''ll have to replace the box.

Thanks for the reply. To replace the box does that involve removing the whole dash board?

It sure does, it's not too bad a job as long as you are careful about not loosing the screws Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Yes its a dash out job.

You dont have to remove it fully from the vehical. I had to replace the whole system on a mates puma a few months back. A spindle seized up which caused the motor to over load & blow Mad

You will swear alot but can be done by just pulling dash out enough.

Just work your way round removing the screws etc Thumbs Up Chris
