New genuine parts FPR is about £150ish to buy and about 1hr to fit. 2005 Td5 90 XS

It also stops diesel from leaking down onto the join between the engine and the bellhousing, and then causing the clutch to slip....

I thought it was designed to leak at a predetermined mileage so it would lubricate the the spigot bush when it got noisy ! 2005 Td5 90 XS

Interesting, as getting clutch slip in 4 /5th when I give her some welly. I may now have a badly fitted new part! They certainly keep you busy. Thanks again for the advice, even if it adds another few hours to the list. 2001 DEF TD5 County |

If you've not long bought the motor I'd say just hang fire for a while, give the area round the back of the engine a good wash off with some degreaser, get all the carp off around where the new part has been fitted. You might find the previous owner has done the hard work and you just need to let the clutch wear off the contamination(with luck)by itself before you start changing bits for the sake of it.

Good news if its getting better 2001 Td5 CSW (weekend and snow mobile) Plenty of lights, M/T tyres EGR delete, roofrack, swing away wheel carrier, snorkel.
