One in Shropshire. Its back there tomorrow for 'repairs'.

I can't be there as I have to be work so hopefully it'll come back repaired and without any further issues.

the force they used to remove the air box was ridiculous. When they broke the bracket I was told not to worry as "that always happens" and that "the other mounting point is more that enough to hold the air box, you don't really need two."

Jim was the ridiculous force them being ignorant or just a necessary evil in getting the airbox out. I ask, as I intend to take mine out and want to know if it is actually inevitable that I'll break the mounting or with care it should not happen.

I fully understand getting a new part under the circumstances but maybe it's fixable with a large washer/plate glued to each side of the original?

Oh - and cracking photos used to illustrate the post - I know how time consuming this can be taking, uploading to pc, then to a host and linking in post, etc - so thanks for that Thumbs Up

It is definitely a difficult part to remove, and mine 110 being an aircon model makes it more difficult as the aircon pipe is very close to the side of the air cleaner housing.

That said, with some care i'm sure it could be removed without the "inevitable" damage that mine had. You can get your hand around the back of the bracket and lubricate the rubber boots before attempting to remove the air cleaner housing.

Here is some more info:

Seems like it can be done, just takes some time and care.

When the dealer picked up my 110 this morning the work card stated a complete replacement wheel arch liner!

Looks like another of those jobs where the more the air box is taken in and out the easier the job will become. Maybe a little spray of silicon lube before installation will stop the parts sticking together as badly.

I remember it being a fiddly job on an earlier Disco but the rubber legs were only grommeted to the base of the airbox so the box sometimes came out with the legs still insitu.
