United Kingdom 2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Tonga Green
Mud seat rails delivered...but I went down to the North Devon coast driving through Exmoor on the way. Awesome scenery, right to & at Lee Abbey. Fabulous sunset & saw dolphins swimming.

Drove back through Exmoor around midnight, horizontal rain! Glad of the wipac/H4 headlight upgrades I have. Not many vehicles to have to dip for luckily. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

@Bob - Alex will want a cayenne next Thumbs Up (or worse a g-wagen - even more dosh!)

I spent the day re-fitting the light guards on my 110, they were re-powder coated and new tabs added and cleaning the chassis ready for a diy dinitrol Zag-Style (but only after I'd finished my greenhouse duties from MrsBP) chassis was not too bad, it's nice when you have a good'un.

The sankey: Airtop fitted last w/e and tested, but the body of the trailer is still red and is going to need some paint soon, not sure what colour: Metallic Black ? Silver ? or White? .. maybe a winter project Thumbs Up

BFO Intercooler and stainless pipes to be ordered for the 110

Luckily she hates the Cayenne and G Wagon Thumbs Up

She did seem to fall in love with the D4, especially in HSE trim, and I have to admit that I liked it as well. Bit wide for some of the tight Dorset green lanes but ideal for the wide open plains.

Just off to hide my cheque book and credit cards Rolling with laughter

Speaking of a winter project.......
It may be 30°C here right now, but properly cleaned all 4 winter wheels and Nokian winter tires, treated those on both sides with Michelin tire shine, and put them back in storage til needed later this year.

This morning we have been touring the other side of the lake (your old side that is Thumbs Up ) a bit, starting with our favorite Céligny, but then going deeper into the Vaud, and got back to the lake at Allaman, so did not quite make it to your good old Morges.... What a lovely area the Vaud is, picture perfect village after village. Thumbs Up You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Looked at the website of this 22nd edition of that British car show. Seems our Defenders will not be allowed to participate, as it is clearly written that given space limitations, recent models of RR, LR, Jag and Mini are not authorized this year. And neither yours, nor mine meet the 20 years treshold yet. Whistle

Rubbed down the rear mud flap brackets and resprayed them. Will still buy some new stainless steel ones at the Peterborough show but couldn't wait. _______________________________

they look very nice but what are they?

thought they were bonnet hinges to start with then looking at the rivets and surronding area decided they weren't?

Yes they are bonnet security hinges.

Slows down the thieving scumbags.

To best of my knowledge there are three types of security hinges.

Those above are from Off Road tec and then there are the Entreq ones. We stock both of those.

Then there are the GMB ones stocked by Kevin at Mud

I Went for the Off Road Tec ones as its not a bling truck by any streach of the imagination, its not a Puma bonnet and so couldn't warrent Entreq ones Wink , and combined with bonnet catches should stop em opening or knicking it

They have the added bonus of doing away with the liitle stupid plastic bonnet insert with the original hinges

Cracking service as well Brendan Bow down
