Red 90 transported us to LRE Honiton for a morning driving a D4 HSE.
I have to say that I was very impressed with its capabilities off road. Only problem, Alex has decided she likes off road driving in comfort. I told her that if my lottery number don't come up I will buy her a big cushion for the TD5 Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Washedit then clay barred and finally washed and then waxed. Been at it all day and just finished. Was worth it though. âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

Don't think so. I pm'd him a few weeks ago looking for advice and he was 'all over it.' Sent me installation details and photos. Great help as usual. Got Vader back after turbo failed, had new Alive Turbo, fitted by Rovertune. Two weeks of driving SWMBO little "shopping trolley" made it feel like new. Was going to have a blast up the M4 but had a call requesting assistance as a swarm of bees at a local stable. Turned out it was a few Bumble Bees, so country roads home.
Got to admit I was a little unsure whether I would notice any difference......oh yes and M4 route to the shops tomorrow. _______________________________ Puma Defender 90 |

Here we go:
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge These were taken once clay barred and washed waxed and then dried. Side photo doesn't do it justice but the bonnet one does. I was going to do photo's in stages but photo's won't really show the difference unless your there in person. I chucked a cloth on the roof and it was so smooth it slid off the other side. I was surprised how much actually came off on the clay bar though whilst doing it. I found the roof was the worst then the lower sides i.e. bottom of doors and then the bonnet. I used it on the glass too (Probably be told you shouldn't but wiped all excess off) and found again that it took off grime that you couldn't get off any other way. Afterwards I find that the wipers glide a lot better now with a smoother action and less smearing action. Very pleased. **EDIT** For anyone interested I used Meguire's Quik Clay. Approx £15 and done the whole of my 90 with some lubricant spare too so would do a 110 to I'd imagine with ease. âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸ |

Day two of Defender cleaning. This time cleaning up the chassis where I can at least from loose dirt anyway. Most of this was under the wheel arches. Took a big screw driver to get some of it out where it was hard but there is plenty of nooks and crannies large lumps were being retained of dirt and I mean the size of your hand! To the front most was above the outriggers and to the rear in and around the rear cross member and aroudn the exhaust area. Also the support brackets just in front on the rear wheels.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge All in all I would say I too about a bucket full of soil out and I'm not one that doesn't clean it under there anyway! But it wouldn't come out without being done by hand a hose is no good and a pressure washer wouldn't get at the angles required. âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸ |

^^ Good job there Steve! Zag would be proud When I first got my 90, there was plants growing in the chassis I used a steam cleaner, but it was so powerful it blew holes in my (pretty rotten) chassis An engine to TDi for!
