Completed an 850 mile round trip with the trailer on to fetch a D2 down from Scotland for a mate. Poured with rain nearly the entire way...

I have 3 defenders at the moment but yes, the new 110 has taken over the duties of the 90. |

Re-fitted the rear prop shaft after having the UJs replaced. 4wd now resumed instead of being in Difflock all the time, 1999 Defender TD5 110

Went for a short trip somewhere and the MIL comes on.
Got back and checked it and P0404 DTC pops up. So an EGR issue. The EGR is only around 6 months old or just over. All the same rather than clearing it straight away I thought I'll try a couple of stop start cycles may clear it and it went off. So I think it's one of those annoying random one's. I did have a little puddle on the drivers footwell mat this morning after the rain we've had so I don't suppose something may have got wet / damp? The EGR is the one thing that I really hate on the Puma nothing else but that and for what I tiny difference in exhaust gas that doesn't want to work half the time correctly anyway. Love it Bob. Was interested in the D44 vents a while ago. No Guts, No Glory.

Much better than the standard LR truck wheel !!
It is 350mm so there is a lot more space and your right elbow does not get bruised as you don't smack the door as often Takes a bit of getting used to as the indicator stalk etc are further away but I am used to that as I has a 360mm Raid wheel on the 110. What all these aftermarket wheels need is a smaller adapter boss so the wheel sits closer to the original position. I had a look around and the D44 vents looked the best and the cheapest Only takes 5 minutes to fit, pull the old plastic vent off (if it is still attached ) remove and discard the five screws holding the air intake pipe in place and then screw the new vent into the existing pipe fixings using the supplied new screws. I am looking around for some descent black self tappers (non rusting !) but the silver ones will do for now. Don't get the Halfrauds "Stainless Steel" self tappers in black. They aren't stainless, because mine went rusty within a month An engine to TDi for! "Land Rover- Proudly turning drivers into mechanics since 1948" |

Bob - Just stick your current ones through some cardboard and give them a spray of paint. Anything will do and if it comes of or looks a little rough over a period of time just do it over again. I used Hammerite on mine and have been fine for a few years now.
Something like this though is really cheap and would wear really well: 14ml Black Enamel Cheap as chips compared to spray paint. All you'd need is a little brush. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Gum - It's your own fault for using Halfrauds for non branded goods...
Saying them even if you did buy branded items though them you'd pay more anyway. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |
