It's dark and mucky out there, but here you go. Nicely made, no problems at all, and now, no rust at all either FCX stainless steel wheel nuts The 110 needs a bit of a clean. I'll get round to it in February or March Dave Green Goddess - 1998 Defender 110 300tdi |

Today I attempted to sort out sorts water ingress, 2 tubes of silicone and it seems to be pretty water tight. I also managed to fit the raptor dash and radio. Also fixed my Heater controls so I have more than a asthmatic couch from the heater. Www.thssufolk.co.uk

Today I -
...Fitted my front Exmoor Trim Seats covers (middle/rears already fitted - Excellent they are too) ...Changed my boots back to the BFG 265's MT that it came with, replacing the BFG AT 235's ...Sorted out my Clutch Claw (adjusted it) and the one I'm really hoping has worked - ...Sorted out my rattling rear brake noise. Will update if successful. Cheers, Superspoons |

Swapped at the rear door hinge and wheel carrier fixings for stainless. While the trim panels were off I soundproofed the rear of the car with sticky mat and thick felt. The door feels nice and solid now. Fitted the Enteq door strips which was a bit of a faff to get them perfectly packed level whilst still allowing the doors to close softly. Also had the cabin floors off and soundproofed them both sides before re-fitting with stainless fixings. What a great way to spend a Saturday!

Put winter kit in the back...spare screen wash, squirty bottle of glass cleaner, paper roll, boots, waterproofs, warm jackets, tow rope etc.
Did all the stupid niggly stuff, pointing the washer jets in better directions, oiled door hinges, lubed the lock mechs to stop door bounce, lubed up door seals then give her a good wash... Bring on the bad weather. |

Sorted out a extended 90 degree 13mm spanner/tool to assist with RTT fitting.
Bought a few last spares for the trip, serpent belt, warmers etc. Decided on brand/size of snow studs ... until i researched it, i did not know there was so much to it. Tomorrow - finish the heater in the custom topbox, control panel and warm box and security nuts. RI - light cover in the post from ZenOverland |

Hey Steve, Sorry still have to e-mail you back, been away all week with work! What studs have you gone for? Those look a bit more like spikes than studs? Im still trying to decide on using studs or not.... I'm not convinced they made a huge difference... |

Congrats! I'm hoping to have everything in and sorted (like, Sky, Internet, Etc! - the important stuff!) before Christmas. Picking up the sofa tomorrow, Ikea Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I'm away, so Thursday and Friday should be plenty enough time to get everything else moved in... Well, thats the theory.....
I was only reading LRO earlier this afternoon, they have a feature on Td5 Defenders.... There's some pretty reasonably priced ones about at the moment..... But no, I'm stuck with the Transit for now, just going to use that until I've finished moving, then look for something a bit more practical. Unfortunately I very much doubt it'll be a Defender |
