Spent most of today fiddling with wing mirrors, replaced the standard one I put on as I broke one of the large ones not so long ago. Whilst I was at it I put some heated mirror pads in both of them and wired them up. The pads came from a truck mirror supplier on ebay and just stick on the back of the mirror, simple job just fiddly. Rewired the top spots to go through the genuine auxillary light switch, still needs a bit of reworking but works just the same.

Nothing today but yesterday I drove it to the NEC for the Motorcycle Show - there was even a bit of Defender content as one of the 'travel' stands had a 110 on it John

went to Bradleys in Galway to have my wiper wheelboxes replaced under warranty. I was a bit worried as to whether the dash would be put back properly but no rattles on the way home plus clackety free wipers at last. They park slightly higher up the screen than before and there's a tiny bit of unswept windscreen where the two arcs meet at the top but otherwise perfect.
