Yes, it mounts directly to the cage.
I will take some pics of it folded tomorrow with some close-ups. Unfortunately we had to mount it overhanging at the back due to have a big spare tyre on the door, so it doesn't look as pretty but it isn't there for looks, just as a fab new pad!! It's not directly onto the cage as such, P+P provided some of their "universal mounting brackets" that clamp to the cage and allow the tent to be bolted to those. We'll be investing in a few more of those brackets for securely mounting other items onto the cage too. |

Picked the defender up for ascot, drove to zag's to pick up some stuff for bpman, the took a leisurely drive from zag's to reading to get a haircut and a stone stuck in my front brake Managed to get it out on the way home

Took the 110 for its MOT. Neadent of worried as only advisory was front pads are on their way.
Then as we're dog sitting I took the hound (staffy/boxer cross) down the river, chuckled to my self all the way watching her bite the air as she stuck her head out the window. Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful! |

Drove nearly 450 miles down through France. 250 to go tomorrow and then a week in a gite before a slow tour to Carcassonne and then.a back road return over 5 days trundling up through the Cevenne and Central Massif. BM52

Towed our caravan for the first time from near Reading to Cheddar, on our way down to Devon tomorrow. If I'm honest, not quite as effortless as my wifes' Freelander 2 or the DII that preceeded it, both of which were autos, but it still did a stirling job and swallowed a whole lot more cargo! Darren

Cheers Clare! Can't wait to actually get away for a trip in it now - but a bit too much on for the next couple of weekends!
No worries, I'll just go shopping for 'home furnishings' for it instead ! I thought a few scatter cushions to start with, and maybe a wind chime.... (just kidding, over my dead body! lol) Our blog - http://landytravels.com/ Yorkshire Off Road Club - http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net |
