Been out on flood duty in the 90, the 110 is in the bodyshop at the moment.
Our village will probably be cut off to normal vehicles in a couple of hours as all the surrounding rivers are bursting their banks Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Today I fitted Crossovers to the stereo install. Sounds ear piercingly crystal clear now, the bass gets the crap factory working and makes you want to toilet.
I'm still not happy with the back of the 90, I may end up with a drawer system....and a fridge |

Well it was yesterday
went to Swansea from Didcot in the 110 to see my Dad who's still recovering from having a massive tumor that was removed from the front of his brain...he's doing really well! Picked up my track bike from his garage and popped into see my mate on the way back and collected 5 BFG Muds (4 on modulars and the spare on a standard steel) for an awsome price. 245/75/16 off the top of my head, they're now in the garage. So 18inch Silverline alloys with BFG ATs and Mod with muds.....Now need to speak to my mate about making them all black!! Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful! |

As well as fitting the last of four X-trousers, I replaced the ten body-to-rear crossmember bolts with nice shiney stainless ones:
Click image to enlarge I bought a kit for this from Stigs Fastners, but it turns out that was a very expensive way of doing it. The kit included nuts, bolts and washers for all ten fixings but on my '05 plate 110 all of the nuts are captive. The bolts are just M6x30, which are available in big packets even from the likes are Screwfix. I added nylon washers under the stainless ones to separate them from the ali body panel. Gotta do the rear door hinges next. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? 245/75 is a great size for Discovery I's but is a bit small for a 110 - approx. 30.5 inches diameter against 31.7 for standard 235/85's. Glad your dad's feeling better though Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing?
