Fitted a new whip aerial up on the roof rack to see if it improves radio reception ..
then spent a happy hour trying to get the radio end of the cable fitted though the bulkhead... and as the dash was open I changed the panel light for the heater control as well .... All seems ok so far! After four years on retention, finally fitted my private plate. Changed the insurance details online, set to change the policy tomorrow... looks like I'm not driving tonight
Next job is to get it repaired after it's ski'ing lesson... |

After an argument with PayPal I ordered over the phone my cb radio
Here by Tuesday and due to uselessness have finally found a chap to fit it! Wouldn't believe how hard it is to find someone who can. I wanted it done 'proper job', not 'bodge job' which is why Im getting a professional to do it and not myself. Jim at 4x4cb.com was very helpful with advice and have decided I want it attached to the snorkel =================================== Steve 90 xs sw in Stonoway Grey - Sold 110 USW X-TECH |

Drove 287 miles, just for the hell of wasting a Friday night
I did happen to bump into McS on the journey and bought his Foxwing....cheers Ross. Someone had a bad Friday 13th, about 3 miles from home they were scraping up a motorcyclist on the A500, we were right behind the ambulance as they stretchered him in, seemed in one piece....Another reason not to have a bike..Alex's friends funeral today too, motorbike accident New Years Eve. |

Not been out in mine yet today - other half has taken it up to Maddison 4x4 for a bit more tweaking on the Compushift.
Did get my V5C back from DVLA today which I sent in for the engine change before Christmas. Always a relief to have it back after the horror stories you hear about lost documents, etc. And they seem to have got everything correct! New exhaust ordered this week which should iron out some of the noisy vibrations and maybe even improve the performance (it is on a 'bitsa' V8 exhaust at the mo, doesn't quite fit right and narrower bore than a diesel one). Ordered ARB fridge from Brendan, picking up end of the month! |
