It's always a nice feeling when the MOT goes off without a hitch Smile

I went for a gentle play in the woods:

Thanks, only problem with the heat is that I work in a tin hut ( a bit like the hot box in the old war films) which averages 35-40 degrees C so I spend the first half of my day drenched in sweat. The afternoons makes up for it though Cool

Picked up my '07 Puma from the dealer formerly known as Ottons yesterday evening after it had been in for a clutch change, and WOW!, utterly transformed!

My old clutch had the dreaded death rattle and was apparently one of the worst they'd heard.

The Defender has now had a new clutch driven plate and cover, new slave cylinder, and new flow restrictor fitted, and the result if that the clutch is lighter, has more 'feel', responds faster (I am sure that the old restrictor was partly blocked or stuck). Most of the backlash in the transmission has gone, and the drive train is so much quieter.

I had high expectations from this repair, but they have been exceeded. £700 well spent!

LR paid 50% of my clutches' demise due to the original unit being the wrong parts... took a bit of bartering though. I hope they done the slave cylinder and flow valve but i will never know? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
