Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge So about a month ago I bought an old 1989 CSW and have set about cleaning it up, mostly interior stuff so far. The original owners had butchered the dash so I have been painstakingly rebuilding it over t last few weeks, mostly second hand bits off eBay. I think I have gone as far as I can. It’s not bad for 30 years old |

It's looking great in my eyes, would it of come with a front middle seat instead of the cubby box ? 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

I’m not sure as I know the cubby box was an option, maybe the CSW came with it as standard?

Lovely spring day here in the sunkissed hills and dales of Yorkshire. Prompted me to get my rattle cans out and get busy.
Click image to enlarge Factory steering guard to fit but first I decided to give the skid plate a couple of coats of satin lacquer. Obviously this accessory is simply for show not go! Click image to enlarge I also have a spare wheel carrier to fit. So here is one of the components glistening with its second (still wet) coat of satin black to match the crossmember. Before it is fitted I need to rehang the rear door as it’s currently sitting a little low preventing me from refitting the thresh. If the weathers favourable again, that’s a job I’ll do in the morning. |

Today i demolished a rotten shed and took it to the tip along with three other car loads of various collected crap as a favour for my wife’s pal. ‘Because I’ve got a nice big truck and skip’s are quite dear’ so that was nice.
I also took delivery of a nice new fancy grease gun coupler which I’ve fitted to my gun and tomorrow, when I’m not up to my elbows in someone else’s unwanted crap I’m going to grease my UJs. |

Went to the petrol station for a splash of diesel.
Somehow as I screwed the filler cap back on the top half came away from the threaded section. Thought nothing of it as I clipped it back together, until I spotted the locking mechanism on the floor. That my job for the weekend planned in! 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

This happended to me a month or so ago. The whole unit had rotted inside and just fell apart on the forecourt!
Got a new one and all sorted, but a poor show of parts really. |

Looks like I'll have to take the plunge then and order a replacement. Might as well get a billet one whilst I'm at it 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

MOT day.
Been SORN’d over Winter, driven 1283 miles last year. Started first turn of the key. 11k miles since I built it and it has been faultless. People love it, people hate it. I don’t mind which. Click image to enlarge |
