Removed my side steps today before they removed themselves! 😆

I guessing they never get picked up as part of an MOT?

I decided to tidy up some wiring and convert a couple of work lamps to LED. I also drilled and added some LED side lamps to the lamps themselves. This is not a rolls royce job rather making best use of what I had in store during lockdown. Work included adding a couple of fuse boxes, a supply and fuse box to the engine compartment. A on off switch was added. All a bit time consuming and has kept my weekends busy so far - just what I needed!

A Land Rover orientated weekend for me,
Defender - fitted new wireless winch remote, LOF Powerspring and fit heated seat elements to the puma seats. They’ve been on the garage side for 6 months. Disco 1 - full service and PAS pump, all diff oils and gearbox oils done. Just waiting on a steering column UJ and that should fix it. Then it’s timing belt to it and shes good for work. |

Is that Landrover "Premium Brand" quality, or were they aftermarket? |

I didn’t buy the vehicle new but I believe they were the genuine article fitted when new. |

I was afraid that that was the case! Sadly it provides a very clear indication of how much interest Landrover has had in every aspect of the Defender except the name for the last couple of decades.

That’s the very reason I took mine off the very day I got the 110 new.
The missus has just asked me to fit the original folding side steps. NOPE. ![]() How’s that trailer 007 ? Nice mudflaps ![]() Keith |
