Had a ‘clunk’. Realised it was the rear ARB drag-link assemblies. Bushes shot. Replaced them. Clunk gone.

Very nice! Always loved the look of the Wolf top wing mounted snorkels rather than the side mounted. Thinking about reliving one of the military wolfs we transport of its wing top snorkel next time I'm at work Is this the kit from Nakatanega you fitted? https://www.nakatanenga.de/en/vehicle-equi...r-housing. |

Just fitted a snorkel as well but had to go cheap. Used a bearmach one from pa Blanchard's. Classic steel type with the mushroom top. Does the job and I like the look. Also managed a service and found the mid section silencer shot while greasing the props. Went for a stainless steel straight through section. It's made no difference to the volume or the performance. CB fit next.

Seeing as it won't be going anywhere for the next few weeks, I put both the batteries on smart chargers to keep them topped up during lockdown 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

After a morning of planting spring barley and finishing the field it was a chance to mount 4 new tyres on my other set of rims and then put them on the 110. Plenty of things to keep me busy at the moment

Finaly connected the winch. Mounting the winch cut off switch was a strugle.

Hi all,
Well, like most of us I have a bit of time on my hands, so thought I would give the 90 a good wash. I am quite particular anyway in this department but I thought I would go full fat and get to every little bit. If you use a brush like the one shown below it is amazing how much dirt comes out of the joins between the panels! Give it a go, you will be amazed! These brushes are also great for getting into all the bits inside you cannot reach, vents, sides of seats etc! Well, it kept me busy for a good few hours anyway. Yesterday I was looking at stainless door sills on the 4x4 Overlander site, naturally assuming I'd have to wait until we're back to normal before I could order them. Amazingly, at the same time, an email came in from them with the receipt for a rear door damper I'd bought a few weeks back. I like happy coincidences.
A couple of quick emails, and three stainless sills should be on their way shortly. That's going to be a nice little project for next week I hope. I'll admit to a bit of guilt at ordering frivolous things at present, but it does help to keep a small business running in troubled times. I'd get the rear door damper fitted, but my hinges are clapped out and I'm waiting for GORE to get some more of their uprated hinges in stock before I fit it. Plenty of vehicular cleaning going on in the meantime though. |
