Picked up (well removed with a drill) a pressed LR badge from the back of a 6 pot 109 that's going for scrap & the metal plate with instructions for engaging 4wd. Oh and a series 3 Haynes manual. 1999 Defender TD5 110

I believe that the "extra bracket mod" is only applicable to 2.2 models, not 2.4. |

It's the 2.2 I have. Do you have a link to the mod as there's no additional supporting bracket fitted? 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

Is your servo ok?
I must admit to lying in bed last night pondering the same thing, I've had it vary when doing a couple of short trips today and when I can escape from the other halfs obsession with all those little jobs she keeps putting my way when she is decorating plus if it stops raining then I will get out and look at the servo and especially the vacuum pump first. Thinking about the pump though as there have been some noises from that area |

Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Struggling to find a thread with the actual recall notice in, but two part bracket which bolts to lower side of alternator is clearly visible in before and after photos above. Just check if you have it fitted. |

What I'm not sure about is whether this was just a retrospective mod to 2013/2014 models post production and whether ones like yours 2015 onwards had the mod fitted on the production line or whether it would have had a different fix?

I've just spoken to my contact at the main dealers and he's checked and there was no workshop notice given for vehicles in my VIN range, and there's definetly no bracket fitted, so perhaps they came up with an alternative hose shape? 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

So somebody with a 2015 or 2016 vehicle needs to say whether they have the bracket or not?

I have a very late 65plate 90 H/T and as best as i can see with the shrouds and everything in place then it does have that bracket
Will get some time at some point and remove some of the plastic to confirm with a pic |

Nice pleasant update on my braking problem, the hard brake pedal with impaired braking efficiency. I did initially think master cylinder but was swayed more to a servo problem. Yesterday I got the five minutes needed to have a proper look, looked round the front of the servo unit for cracks at the mounting, nothing. The feed pipe into the servo looked pretty damned good so followed the pipe back to the pump that gets partly hidden under the acoustic cover and there is the T piece that feeds the EGR valve and the thing had fallen out of the rubber jont.
What a result, push the pipe back in and a new bit of tape round it and the jobs a good 'un |
