The lack of glass suggests a later hardtop or USW? Is there enough space behind the grills to thread some sort of fixings behind them? Did not do anything with her today...
This thread just reminded me how much I'm missing her... so an old pic from a working Sunday... Given how easy Defenders are to steal, that bike's not very safe...or is that bike there to prevent the Defender being stolen?. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Hey Sulisuli
Not in storage, parked up with my mum, who takes her for a drive every couple of weeks. She initially was not keen, but now is starting to understand why we all love these vehicles soo much. Hopefully will get her over here (the Landy) during next year. Biggest issue is secure parking on this island Boat was a friends who needed it moved from Hout Bay to Somerset West and I don't have a skippers licence so a tow was done. Did get to spend some time on it later in the month, very nice boat. On Saturday;
Replaced the rusted rear upright capping that the indicator and brake light mount on to. Fitted the newly blasted/coated lower quarter chequer plate covers and 1mm neoprene gaskets to both sides. Gave the rear x-member a lick of satin black from a rattle can. Fitted a pair of rear bumperettes that had been blasted and powder coated. 1mm neoprene gaskets between bumperettes and rear x-member and stainless nuts/bolts used Sunday was a trip to the Stoke Staffs LR comp in Wales on rescue duties. Today back to work for a rest 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |
