Hi

I fitted a gas strut yesterday as well ! I was surprised at the effort needed to close the door, but if it keeps it open instead of closing on you when loading it will be a good thing. 1984 One-Ten CSW

Yeah it does require a bit of a push but it'll counter overzealous family members trying to slam it shut Rolling Eyes Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest

Fair point. I used the Mud Stuff instructions which were clear (but I brought from one of this sites sponsors). The odd thing was the Nakatanenga instructions show the body of the gas strut behind the door card and on the mud photos the other way round. I went with the Nakatanenga instruction/photo in the end. 1984 One-Ten CSW

The same goes for the bracket strut to tub.
Mine is the opposite way up to the above photo, I found as above it fleshed the panel more than is like with the load more centred in the panel.
To the lower and rear edge it's a bit stronger, and not so much flex.

I've had mine, ever since released and next had an issue at all. GBR

Well given the naka instructions are three photos on the page of paper and no writing there was some room for interpretation.

I haven't noticed any tub flex but will keep an eye on it.

Two reasons for it. firstly to stop it closing on me when on a slope, and second to stop it opening too far and the wheel hitting the rear panel and denting that. Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest

Spent the day on the Surrey 4x4 Response stand at Emergency Services day at Brooklands. My 110 served as an anchor point for a Tirfor winch challenge:

I don't think that that is actually a Tirfor, is it? It looks to be a non-Tractel griphoist of some description.

Ha, ha, no. We had two of them, one for each direction, both different and neither of them were actually Tirfors. I use the name only in the sense of 'I Hoovered my carpet with a Dyson'. Darren

Not today but over the weekend.

Took it to the NEC for Makers Central Show - it was about time it has a decent run.

And then yesterday used it to relocate a load of sand for the scouts with a trailer on the back. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.
