Look very similar indeed. They certainly do a good job of lighting up the area 1999 Defender TD5 110

In the absence of actually having a Defender to drive I have resorted to buying a replacement set of manifold studs, spacers and nuts ready for when the head comes back from being machined.

I have obviously not been driving "Miffy" but this rather grey small thing called "Muffy";

I had entirely forgotten what driving a 1.2L petrol was like... positively screaming engine at 70mph in 5th. The stereo is also locked out too which makes for dull droning long journeys...

As I can't afford Truck lite's at the minute a somewhat more budget lighting upgrade was had to be made. Crystal lens units, Good H4 bulbs and as they are starting to rust replacement Stainless steel bezels.

Thumbs Up

Do those have a hole for the marker light? It seems that all the crystal units I've seen so far, either has the marker light or there is a hole in the reflector. I think it would be better if there was no hole or will it not matter?

I got a pair from Flatdog and they didn't have the hole for the marker light.

Today I changed the gearbox oil for some super dooper stuff.. I had to buy a BFO spanner to get the drain plug off as it was previously tightened by superman... 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

You can get them with or without pilot lamp. which is at the bottom there is a small hole near the top but I think it is more of a breather hole as there is no way a 501 is going to fit.

On my chrystal headliamp reflectors there are holes for a pilot light so I put a led 501 in each of them and wired them to the existing sidelight circuit. It gives an effect not unlike the dim dip that you sometimes come across. I'm happy with the effect as any increase in illuminating the front is allways a bonus especially at this time of year.

Wow!...How good is that.
It's that good you'd almost need sun glasses in there!
