Is the plastic recipient to protect the driveway from the LR marking its territory there? Nice truck. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Nice^^^ it's the little details that make the differences to a tidy motor.
@GM thank you, though after a run around the block, I discovered a seal leaking hence the oil catcher, Eric. More spannering |

The screws I used were left over from my kitchen install. I used countersunk ones but I did have a few wider flat headed ones I found better but only had 3 so put them on the 3 that are under the most stress. I drilled a 1.5mm hole as pilot and then screwed the screw in with cordless impact driver.
The screws need to be 10mm long |

Well I only did under the cappings, bonnet hinges today, and the upper tub edge etc with the aerosol and straw.
Wipe excess off with a brand new terry towl / cloth. However, for bolt heads etc which I'm guessing you have done a little brush is perfect. There are plenty unde the engine bay, but some I prefer to do in the same method but wit black Dinitrol. Don't with that, they really don't need doing again unless they are removed. Obviously some visual fixings you don't always want black though. I tend to wipe on and off ACF 50 on the door hinges too, as well as white lithium grease in the actual hinges. I've been doing a really onslaught on mine the last few days. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Its amazing the number of locations and places you can apply ACF50. You dont see anything for a cple of hours work but you know it was time very well spent and a little goes along way. I also used the aerosol version and if your careful proves to be very useful.
Gave my black chequerplate a wipe over with it and what a difference visually propably hasnt offered any protection to the chequer but got rid of the weathered effect. Very impressive stuff 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |

Certainly is, I use White Diamond polish on CP. but that's because I have bare CP. Cant use it on coloured as it's slightly abrasive. No Guts, No Glory.

With the promise of a couple of days good weather, I made a start on renewing the rear lights on my 90 this morning. It's quite involved as it's necessary to enlarge the holes in the bodywork and as those holes are in the steel corner cappings, they need to be painted.
So, with the old lights removed and the holes enlarged, they were given a quick blast of etch primer: Click image to enlarge They'll get a touch of Arles blue tomorrow but I've also unearthed a more pressing problem. When I removed the cover on the back of the lights on the off side, it revealed this: Click image to enlarge This is obviously where the towing electrics are connected but there are far too many Scotch locks for my liking. Also, the rear wiper doesn't work and I think I now know why! Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing?
