Dropped the fuel tank as the pump was cavitating badly. Full of diesel bug. Filters completely blocked on the pump. Jet wash and will now need a pump rebuild and bug treatment

Took our new Defender for first trip to the Hand Car Wash in Camden Town. Was expecting to be the novelty vehicle of the day until the boss says 'wow, these vehicles are very popular..I must've cleaned ten of them today!'.
Really..? On a more positive note one of the workers (a Kosovan) told me he used to drive a Defender in the army and fondly gave it some extra elbow grease 2015 110 XS CSW Montalcino Red with Black Pack |

Discovered how well Autoglym products work to minimise scratches on my still quite new Santorini Black 110.
Last weekend a couple of badly behaved dogs were jumping up on the side of the car (I wasn't aware of it as I was talking to their owner about a bit of a boundary fence dispute - another story). Didn't notice the scratches until I got home and the kids told me about what the dogs were doing! Anyway, tried the polish and the paint restorer (only on a coupe of really bad bits) and you can't see hardly anything. Very happy. |

Odd thing happened today.
Sat in the 110 at Charnock Richard Southbound services and then I was aware of an approaching figure by the drivers windows. He want to talk, so lowered the window. The Irish chap then pointed in the direction of some cars and told me the starter motor had failed and could I give him a lift the garage down the road. "You dont mind do you?" My reply was yes I do mind and no I won't. He then looked over towards another part of the car park and walked away. Something not right here me thought then departed. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Was this at the american carwash? looking for a car wash in london that satisfies the below is proving harder than expected 1 - not in a car park because invariably we're too high! 2 - doesn't leave swirl marks 3 - doesn't have the power washer turned up too high stripping the paint off the delicate front grills and arches Best Corris Grey 110 XS SW |

I hope it was clean and fresh elbow grease. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
