Two non-essential jobs carried out today, but nonetheless very worthwhile....
I adjusted the movement out of the gear lever by setting the jacking screws on the bias springs - a nice easy job but really worthwhile. The movement didn't bother me, but my daughter's currently learning to drive in the Defender and it makes gear selection much easier for her. The other thing I did today was fit a set of Osram Night Breakers. Wow! What a difference from the standard bulbs. Thoroughly recommend this mod. Fitted the Boomslang performance headlight loom, hope it improves my lighting and protects my switch from meltdown.

Replaced the rear window wiper. 5 sec job thanks to the Kaymar moving independently from the rear door.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw Last edited by ericvv on 14th Dec 2014 4:11pm. ^ people always mention this. I don't get it?
I've replaced my rear wiper 2 or 3 times and never had to worry about the spare wheel! Just park the wiper at the top Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

^^ Smart Would have done that too of course, but with the Kaymar it is just not necessary You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Picked up 2 x 16ft 2" diameter aluminium poles to be used to mount a HF long wire from and did a tip run with some old internal doors. 2" to long to go inside so had to go on the roof rack. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Not today but yesterday dropped her off at Harwoods to try and sort out what I suspected to be a clutch judder but turned out to be suspect drive flanges. Picked up the Christmas tree and then did some other odds and sods before driving to Canterbury to have a party with friends (sooo much food) and then drove home this morning at 3.30.
Great fun driving on dead empty roads with nothing for miles and frost forming all around. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Filling up in Canterbury - got to love 24hr petrol stations!
