Steve, didn't think that at all. Don't see you in one of those Porschollas as we used to call them. Still hope you will turn up with pictures of a mint FJ40 though. But if it is not a FJ40 that you are going to surprise us with, and understanding you like sporty cars too, it is ok with me if you have bought yourself a Toyota 2000GT as a new toy. In which case we also want to see the pictures. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Got round to cutting out the rust on my rear crossmember and rebuilding it in readiness for next months MoT. It had only rusted between the end of the chassis rails towards the seatbelt rail fixing points just where the dirt is thrown up and deposited into the back of the Xmember where the back is open where the jacking tubes are fixed. Did away with the tubes, filled the back in then new steel on the face. Even did a smartypants thing by welding a couple of nuts to reattach the bumperettes.
On all the years I've driven and owned Land Rovers I've never used the tubular jacking points so I shan't miss them. |

Nice.
I've thought about one, but mounting space is a little limited right now and already outputting 200w by halogen xenophot bulbs. |
