I will be watching this thread quite close. I swear by BFG M/T................. But I have only owned the KM. The missus has KM2s on her Feroza, but completly different size/ weight so can't be sure. Will have to fit something in the next year or so.
I have always liked the look of the MTRs, and the Coopers are very similar (STT). But I have seen quite a few reviews though that say even though the Cooper is an awesome tire it is still a second rate tire compared to the MTR. Glyn |

I ran MTR's and BFG MT KM1s side by side on a DeFender and RR. MTR's were better on road with better wet handling, better grip in cold conditions and lower noise levels. BFG's were better off road in heavy/slippery mud and bog/peat. MTR's better on rocks both wet and dry.
In UK conditions, then I would have voted for BFG's Seeing as KM2's are better on road for noise and grip than KM1's it would suggest that gap for UK conditions is even wider in favour of KM2's Cheers Steve |

The Coopers also have a less aggressive sidewall than KM2's thus more vulnerable. Although not doubting the Coopers are still a good tyre. Not for me though but I am biased.
Not had and experience of the Wranglers so cannot comment. Mine: Click image to enlarge Standard hight and with as OE 235 / 85 $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

I am sure I read somewhere that the coopers can be bought with kevlar in the sidewalls to protect them more?..... Then again it could just be a sales gimmick Glyn |

Perhaps although not noticed myself. They also don't have the sidewall "lugs" that the KM2 has which I find are especially useful in ruts to bite into the side and gain grip rather than wheel spinning and going sideways. (You know the one where you slip out of a rut on a lane and end up slightly sideways. Especially bad in mud) $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

I have done 16,000 miles in 3 year, so wear rate is less of a problem for me ... I would like a tyre good in the wet, dry and light off road use ... (1st MOT due soon) @Ken - your truck need a clean Last edited by bpman on 6th Mar 2013 8:22pm. Edited 1 time in total |

What about the Hankook Dynapro (think that is how it is spelt).
There seem to be loads of trucks running them out here now. Glyn |
