Eric,
No reason really, just in winter, because of fuel differences, it sounds a bit different...still runs super,
Cheers,

What fuel do you normally use?

Eric

Usually Tamoil cause it is very close to homeand about 5 rappen/l cheaper...sometimes Landi as it is on the way for my wife, sometimes Avia as it is also close...runs a bit nicer with Avia.
Not into BP since deep water Horizon incident...sorry my British friends....Exon was out too when living in the states. 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately)

I concluded that it's snake oil. I tried it a few times and convinced myself it was running better, but realistically, I don't think it makes a blind bit of difference.

Johnny,
Understand your frustration with the deep water Horizon incident, but all oil companies are the same. Censored will happen, yesterday Exxon, today BP, tomorrow it will be another one.... I am an occasional visitor to the Mississippi gulf, and there isn't much left, if anything at all, of the dwH incident, clean up at BP expense is done quite well, and sealife is getting back to normal there.
Just try BP Ultimate Diesel for a few tanks in your Puma, (and start from an almost empty tank to have quick noticeable difference), I can assure you that in my case I am naturally very sceptical, but from an outright disbeliever in that premium fuel before, I immediately became a devoted believer, so much difference the stuff makes to the engine sound and EGR cleaning cycle sound. If you don't notice the difference at the latest after those two full tanks, turn your back on BP again. BP Ultimate comes at a premium, but adding 2SO to ordinary diesel does not come FOC either.... Thumbs Up You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

United Kingdom 2003 Defender 90 Td5 SW Alpine White
I've been using 2SO in both TD5 and D3 for about a year now.

The vehicles are both quieter and it took away a lot of the lag when taking off in the auto D3.

Just bought 20ltrs from Smith & Allan for 48 so should last a while.
