Hi all,
Im looking for some LED lights (side, brake, ind and tail) that look like the original ones that are fitted. I know bolt on bits do them but ive heard that there lights arent always up to the quality i would maybe like. I did see that BAS had them on there 3.2 puma in LRO and was wondering if they are the bolt on bits ones or not, or if anybody knows of any other supplier? Or are the bolt on bits ones good enough? Anybody tried them? Many thanks. Pete. |

If it was me... and not just because I have them fitted to my own vehicles - and sell them...
http://www.mobilecentre.co.uk/index.php?ma...Path=36_37 These are by far the best aftermarket fit LED lamps.... 100% fully legal, very high quality, 4 year no quibble warranty, excellent after sales support, plug and play, and no alterations required to vehicle, theft proof etc. Much stronger than any other aftermarket option! - I know of two vehicles that have had impact damage, and the lamps have come out unscathed (both cases - the actual wing required replacement!). I appreciate they look slightly different to OEM, but I like them - and they are a direct replacement. Ian's are def far better and I think look better as well, I like the idea of them being similar to originals but I think you can see the LEDs more through the bolt on bits ones

i've got the Bolt On ones on mine, as has the bro in law ... been on there about 4 months now.
Couldnt afford [or justify] cost of Ians so for £100 the set we gave them a punt. Added to the fact like you i prefer the 'original' look I've got to say .. so far i'm well impressed Very [as in VERY] bright, good all round light emitted owing to the number and angles of leds in each unit. No problems so far, Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

Thanks that sounds good. Like you i cant really afford Ians ones, im sure they are much better and worth every penny but i just cant spend that much on new lights when my old ones still work lol. I do like the look of Ians but would still rather have a more standard looking one. Did you get the reverse and fog light too or just the others? Pete. |

Same question for you too! Did you get the reverse and fog lights too? Is the reverse light bright enough with a good enough spread of light? i know when i have tried a LED bulb in the original light it wasnt anywhere near bright enough. Pete. |

I have those too original on my SVX. Agree with your above comments, the fog is stupidly bright, but in my opinion the reverse BARELY does the job. Actually I don't really understand it, because all the rear LED lights are fantastic, tail/stop, turn signal which I added LED recently, fog as said, but no, the reverse is in my opinion doing the job even less good that a standard incandescent bulb version.
