Thanks WelshGas,

Can you or somebody else enlighten me as to how I go about doing this fix Smile

Do I need to remove the complete rubber floor mat around the tunnel or does the rubber gaiter pull up some how? I don't want to go busting and tearing at things blindly.

How do I remove the gear stick itself, or do I need to, to complete the fix.

Hope you don't mind the questions but it's easier to ask someone who has already done it.

Thanks in advance.

Mick.

if you pull the gaiter down towards the tunnel, you will see 2 plastic clips on the gear stick, if you ease both of these the stick will pull upwards and off Thumbs Up the all i did was put glue around the platic carrier bit that holds the weights. Thumbs Up NO ROAD..........EXCEPT FOR LANDROVER

Well that was bloody easy once you know how Thumbs Up

My weights were definitely loose, I could replicate my 'teeth chattering' noise by just shaking the gear stick and hitting it on my palm. A few drops of super glue and put it back in, the most difficult part was stretching the gaiter back in place Laughing

I'll give it a test tomorrow and report back.

I did snicker when I saw the Ford logo emblazoned on the base of the stick Whistle

Do it Daz it literally took about 10 - 15 minutes max, the longest time was getting the gaiter back in place.
