Only record in Protune if you are going to do things like colour correction, contrast/brightness changes either before editing or during editing as protune records very "flat" so that you have more control over the final video. It's similar, but not quite, to still camera Raw files.

Understood Thumbs Up So leave Protune alone for now.

Have you any experience of using the GoPro Cineform Studio editing software?

Yeah, I've tried it, but only to convert videos. I wasn't too happy with the loss of quality. Craig Rogers

Yes, pleased with my first video. I edited it with iMovie and then clicked on Share > Export Movie and exported it to my Movies folder in Finder, selecting the 1080P setting Thumbs Up Then uploaded it from my MacBook to youtube, and as x-isle mentioned, it initially uploded in a lower quality, then 1080P appeared after a short while.

The image quality when playing it on my TV seems better than youtube for some reason. Perhaps down to my MacBook screen?

More extreme filming tomorrow, where I may encounter some killer seagulls. Who knows? Mr. Green

Yes I have actually Mr. Green I think theres a few of them which made me wonder if they were staged or not. But then if it is staged its rather an expensive way to make a youtube film with the risk of loosing your GoPro.

Thanks for the top class service with supplying my GoPro Thumbs Up . Im a happy boy, but the wife really doesn't understand, she just gives me those sly digusted looks! Shocked

You'll probably find your tv has some sort of "upgrading" electronics. We had a Panasonic in our salon (before it was nicked Twisted Evil ) playing YouTube playlists and the quality of even fairly low quality clips were way better. The replace, net will be even better apparently , when the insurance cough up for it.
