I spent a happy half hour reading up on them yesterday. I was debating buying the Black edition in the next month or so, you've convinced me!
Thanks! |

the iphone app is good too, so you don't need the lcd display panel but uses lots of battery
@Greeni - are you a frequent flyer |

I've just bought one as well. Got a friend to bring it over from the States. An excellent bit of kit.
As for extra batteries I've also bought the Wasabi external car charger and two batteries. GoPro don't do and external charger yet. http://www.amazon.com/Wasabi-Power-Battery...sabi+hero3 The video and still capture mode is great. |

Have an original GoPro - done sterling service on numerous trackdays but also great for skiing and general play. I was contemplating upgrading to a 2 when news broke of the 3 - glad I didn't now.
Might leave it a little while but am very interesting in the wi fi remote viewing & operation kit. It also takes some great stills with the wide angle lens - found it particularly good for landscapes and vehicle interiors. I bought a second non-oem battery off ebay - was much better value than the oem one and in use you can't tell them apart. The only problem is the volume of data storage you will now need with shooting hd video! |

The piggy back battery has a small lcd on the back to view the charge and a couple of extended crystal backs. it is possible to run a USB charge on the second battery whilst connected to the camera so it's always topped up and there's no need to swap batteries in and out because one of the crystal cases is non-waterproof, (the other one is waterproof)
the wifi remote is good and mirrors the lcd on the camera, but drains the battery. |

GoPro Hero 3 Black (thank you GREENI) is awesome.
I've used many action cams over the years for Mounting Biking and always hated the clumsy GoPro, however, the 3 Black cannot be compared to, so I just live with the clumsyness of it, although it is a lot smaller than past models. Here's a couple of captures I've done already and in the dark it's awesome, although I do have 4 Lightforce 140's on the roof which helped. They are both uploaded to youtube on 1080, so remember to change the quality if possible. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |
