Another day, another badly designed Landrover part while washing mine yesterday I pushed on the vent flap which felt like it slightly opened. I didn't think anything of it until I put the cars away last night and went to close the flap and found the lever just flopping about I checked out prices of a new one last night just Incase I couldn't fix it today and new they are.........£168!!!!!! it turns out the pin that holds it all together is just hammered over to fix it
The offending pin Click image to enlarge After taking the dash apart and struggling to get the whole mech out I managed to pop the pin back in place with some grips Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And then peen the end back over on the vice Click image to enlarge So although is was a massive pain and could be much better designed at least I managed to save myself a big chunk of cash Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html |

Graftys is the one that's got to white lettered, yours isn't as pimped as his for the white lettering, and he knows that too! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
