Well done. You'll feel chuffed every time you glance those pitch-black wheel arches
The only downside I suffered was some smearing on the windscreen (which they warned me about - comes from the misting they use on the bulkhead) and a terrible smell in the interior for a few days. I think that came from the hot pressure washing they did underneath. When I lifted the rubber mats a few days later, the carpets were really wet and starting to stink. I just left it to air for a bit (much easier to do now that it's warm) and all was fine. Definitely the best mod I've done (apart from extending the alarm aerial). One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Indeedy, my vehicle does in fact smell like a candle factory! Paul carried out the job on his own and was very very meticulous, I even stated that due to the fact I was off to Centreparcs for a few days I wouldn't be able to address any overspray before it went hard Paul made sure it was all off!
Have to agree with you about the best modification next to the alarm aerial but above it in practicality! Only just though! Will post pictures next weekend as I have no pooter! Despite the warning about trying my brakes I did have a moment on the way back where I applied the brakes and nothing really happened due to the wax! Made my heartbeat quicker and my colon twitch a little! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Well here are the pictures as promised: Excuse quality 'iphone pics' but as good as it gets:
Arrival on ramp! After pressure wash: 'Clear Wax' then applied to doors and various other orifices, then the black stuff is applied with meticulous detail: Paul doing his job: Click image to enlarge No wonder it still smells like a candle factory: Finally vehicle was taken off ramp to complete wheel arches: If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
