He's just taken delivery of an even bigger lift for motorhomes.
Just had mine done yesterday and they've done a really good job. The coverage is excellent, the overspray is minimal and from crawling about underneath it in the light this morning it looks to be a very thorough job. Michael, as always, was super helpful and they were a great bunch to deal with. Very pleased to have it done - especially as we head into winter. I bought a couple of cans of the hardwax and the thinner misting wax to top up as necessary and for any add-ons. My only mistake was to leave my crappy diff guard on the pan so they've not managed to get behind that. I'll take it off later and spray it up myself. Definitely worth getting it done by a pro - it would take a lot of effort (and knowledge and kit) to get it to this standard at home. Is this deal still valid?
I work only a mile away from Rustmasters and was considering getting my Defender done by them. This would make it a no brainer! MAD COW 2007 90 Hard Top - 2009 BMW F800GS - 2002 CCM 604E Dual Sport Project90 |

Just got back from getting mine done, and very pleased with the results, and care taken. To confirm previous query, the lift is more than secure, and the Land Rover looked entirely safe up there.
A tip for anyone that's not gone yet, it's not entirely obvious when you arrive at the estate where you're meant to go. Michael will give you a code for the gate to get onto the estate, once you enter turn left and stop by the first skip you see - you've arrived. There was a 50:50 chance of finding it easily, but sod's law I turned right, and then was directed by someone that thought it might be down the end of a long lane... I think the deal is still valid. Essentially Michael is happy to give a discount in lieu of the volume he sees from us. Well worth getting it done as we head into winter. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

I took my car there not too long ago. Michael did a good job, and was kind enough to drop us off in town while the work was done.
I recommend him, he does good work. |

Have Rustmasters considered sponsoring the site, giving a little back for all the work they've got through offering this discount?

I think they should - that way we could recommend them hands down (which we do anyway).
I think Michael views these forums as sacred territory - he doesn't feel it is in the spirit of their independence to get involved, contribute or sponsor. Personally I think it would be nice is some of the major groups that we recommend were to chip in to keep it all going (they must get a lot of business from groups like ours). Have just received an e-mail from Michael at Rustmaster offering a £100 discount for people who book and have their vehicle treated before 31st December. Open 7 days and a free courtesy car to boot!
From a personal perspective having spent a great deal of my life trying to repopulate certain areas of Dorset and Wiltshire my extensive brood makes this great offer unaffordable at this time of year but thought I'd pass it on for any interested parties. Got my email today, the £100 off is near as damn it the same as the 20% (give or take £6)
Was going to book it in this week anyway, think i'll be on the phone tomorrow. Not too concerned about a two post lift (they have a four post too), where I used to work we lifted refuse trucks on a set of four mobile lifts that aren't even connected to each other (except by cable to sychronise them) but never had an issues with them slipping. And you can imagine what the bottom of a freighter is like straight off a land fill site. Mind you it used to feel a bit weird walking under a 26 tonne GVW truck suspended seven foot in the air MAD COW 2007 90 Hard Top - 2009 BMW F800GS - 2002 CCM 604E Dual Sport Project90 |

Have decided that my next purchase IS going to be a good dosing of Rustmaster treatment. With so many items on my wish list it 'goes against the grain' a little to purchase something that does nothing physically (namely have no moving parts) or improve the functionality of the vehicle.
Nevertheless with the Winter we've just had and the amount of salt dumped on our roads I know it makes sense with regards to the longevity of the vehicle. Mad Cow working only a mile away fancy sticking the kettle on? I'll bring the biscuits! Be a while yet got a couple o' hundred to squirrel away yet! Happy Days. I know the feeling - I was thinking that £400 could be spent on some shiny kit that was 'up top'. However, having had the Waxoyl done, I'm super glad. In fact, if I were ever to replace the 110 it would be the first thing I would have done on the new one. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Well finally got round to it!
Am currently sat in the sunshine on a glorious afternoon in the sun outside Rustmasters! Vehicle is on the ramp being lovingly and liberally coated in two different types of wax! From what I have seen their attention to detail and service provided is excellent! Have taken photos and will post them when I can! Michael even provided the sandwiches for lunch! Would I recommend? A resounding yes! Should have maybe had it done earlier rather than at the two year point! Done now though! With regards to site sponsorship is he not indirectly doing this by offering forum members a generous discount? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
