Haven't done much recently. Was ready to sell up last week but then decided to just keep on adding! Had some mud stuff side panels in the garage for the past 6 months. Finally thought I would fit them, had to tweak them for the rear seat belts. Then the dilemma, I need to change my recaros for normal low base ones as I am simply to big! I will take the silver backs and swap these onto the new ones, so thought I could offer my ones up for sale, with the option to have the new backs painted in any colour and then I can pop them back together? Now all I can think is how good the mud panels, rear seats, front seats, cubby box, dash bits, door cards, would look if FCX had them for a week or two! Matt you have been warned.

Yes will do, just all normal parts, didnt want to start cutting out the seat boxes so just adjusted the bracket hinge point to keep them level.

i too don't wan't to cut anything too drastic on the car... do your rear passangers find visibility ok and how much room realistically is there?

if its not too much trouble could you get some pics of the mounting of the seat belts too, hopefully my dealer will have a defender in when i pick mine up next friday so i can see how LR do it

cheers, Likeomg

I have compared the height of my seats against my mates Svx and my seats are about 45mm higher so not really making much difference. It's normally just the kids in the back and they never complain. Seat belt is fitted to a bracket that bolts straight in. Dead easy.

Finally got started fine tuning a lot of annoying things. Fitted 2 new heated recaros with pull out bases onto some new rails, then started to remove the rear seats. Later in the week the fun will start as the bulkhead bar is going in and the rear seat boxes get adjusted, then new carpet. and a few other goodies!

Well the Svx recaros I bought on eBay turned up today, terrible pictures on eBay didnt really fill me with confidence but all is good! Smile (after a good clean!) I think with the backs colour coded they would look great. Now what to do with them Confused

Made a start today on fitting the bulkhead bar and rear seats mods....

Before:

After first cut

They just add some trim around these edges normally but we removed the rivets and flattened the lip back and put in new rivets.

Starting on the seat mods

Ready to test fit everything

First issue, to attach the side support bars you really need the roof and sides off so we just welded extra material onto the brackets to let us access the bolts.

Second issue is easy fixed, some spacers needed to bolt through the floor

All fitted and ready for dynamat and new carpets, then seats back in.
