Hi Guys ... Anybody khat kind of rims and protectors are these Euo Defenders using? Are they just bling? Rim protectors? Valve protectors? Tire Condoms? The rings are called bead locks, they basically weld on to the edge of the wheel and instead of the tyre sitting inside that side of the rim it goes on the out side. Then the outer wavy plate you can see is bolted to the welded ring clamping the tyre in place. The idea is that you can then run your tyre at ultra low pressure without it slipping on the wheel or being pulled of by side loads. Very American and not necessarily legal for road use. Other alternatives are things like staun bead locks which fit inside the tyre on a normal rim but work by being inflated separately to the tyre.Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
