Have a look at the Fenix LD41 nice size for the hand 4 modes of power with the high setting same lumens as the P7 but the turbo mode is 520 lumens.
If you have a few hours spare have look here http://www.candlepowerforums.com Has a lot of reviews and guidance on there. You will struggle to find the lesser well known ones in shops to try out mainly Internet based, lots of places have the led lenser ones in though. |

We are resellers of Rigid stuff but of course still have to pay the import duty, VAT and carriage so unless we import a container load it doesn't make it very viable ....

$94 on amazon.com, but again you need a USA shipping address..... But, it must be impressive light output, just read the following customer comment which I copied from the Amazon site..... Maybe in Europe this one will fall under forbidden weapons Quote The beam pattern is perfect and output is phenomenal !!! The light is very durable and a must have for a woman's purse or car. One flash in the eyes of an attacker and he will demonstrate how difficult it is to rape, murder, rob, steal, pillage and cause mayhem, WHEN HE IS BLIND for 20 minutes. Also, it is perfectly legal..... Unquote You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Nige
my list is almost done now .. just a few more spares (CVs, UJs, bearings etc) and having some aerodynamic boxes made for the rack Sorrels I had my friends from Norway visiting me this week, Jan-Erik (who is in the motor trade) looked over the truck and gave it the thumbs up regarding prep. I am going to take it on a 600 mile shake down in October / November fully loaded. But for now time to read books and get fit ready for the trip. |

The Halo looks good but no outlet here !
Due to size consideration these 2 look like they will fit the Maglite clips. http://www.torchdirect.co.uk/fenix-tactica...utput.html Or http://www.torchdirect.co.uk/olight-torche...torch.html 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top |

Think you would be very happy with either of those torches Landlord!
I own a few fenix torches and the build quality is very good, but also heard very good things about olight. The poor maglite doesn't stand a chance against those 2 ! I still do love the maglites though and have quite a lot of them in various sizes dotted around the house and in the vehicles but for light output they don't take alot of beating! |

Maglites used to be the bees knees when it come to torches
However technology changes, different companies come through with new and improved products. Maglites do a range of LED lights have a look HERE I am slightly surprised that the light output of the LED Maglites are mainly in the range 100-200 lumens where other makes are claiming 800-900 lumens. Now are all the manufacturers using the same standard test methods of measuring light output? Or is the case that technology is changing fast and in stepwise function and that the current LED Maglites standards have been 'leapfrogged' by other manufacturers? Brendan |

You have to look at ANSI standard for measuring lumens, some manufacturers are now quoting this standard but some are not so there are some discrepancies!
But also maglite have been leapfrogged by the mostly Chinese manufacturers in regards to led powered torches, shame really though as said before I really do like them! |

I have no idea what these are like but I use their conventional Clubman torches on the farm and they are very good
http://clulite.cluson.co.uk/led-torches/384-pro-spot-torch.html Steve I have also asked Gabriel (Zen Overland) if he can supply the Rigid Torches - may get a group buy going ? |
