You'll be surprised how much room there is with a 90HT for things like that with a bit of imagination. Plenty of cavitys behind the dash ect too. Just being careful not to place anything or any wires where it will interfere with any controls or OE equipment. âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

Anyone know the best place to connect the power lead(yellow) for a kenwood KSC-SW01 Subwoofer

The install booklet shows picking power off the fuse box but looking at the under seat box its not clear where to pick up from

Crying or Very sad

I don't want to sound rude but if you can't pick out a live in a fuse box you should let a professional do the job as it could be a fire hazard

Do you mean the live feed directly to the amp? âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

And as the post by mk1 you really do have to be careful what you are doing as incorrectly fused electrical work done can be a massive fire hazard if a short occurs. âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

Yes its the main power feed and its fused downstream.

Im more than qaulified to work it out as have spent 30 years as chief engineer on business Jet aircraft not to metion some suprsonic cold war jet rebuilds

just wanted to save time as thought someone here would have done it before.
Confused

I'm looking for some ideas. I bought a focal i20 integrated sub, it's up and running in the 110 and sounds great (well compared to how it used to sound).

It's not big but not small (details here: http://www.focal.com/files/ibus20-specification-sheet2.pdf)

Height: 71.5mm (2.8”)
Length: 344mm (13.5”)
Width: 250mm (9,8”)

so I plan to fit under middle row seats but here's the question ... how you you get the wires from the head unit to the sub ? Inside or outside/under ? currently I'm thinking run it down the back of the dash then putting it in black convoluted trunking and running next to the seats, under the rubber middle row floor mats and up to the sub.. any other ideas ?

If it's the live feed you need and not ignition then I would take it direct from the battery. You'll also need the appropriate Amperage rating fuse as close to the 12v source (battery Positive +) if you don't do this the cable between the battery and the amp is fully UN-protected and is a big no no IMHO and a fire risk. Sorry I cannot give any more detail myself as I don't have the same sub as you do but there are members on here that do. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

Personally I would with your wires forget the convoluted tubing because it will be not flexible enough and add to the bulk of it. I would instead spiral wrap it in electrical tape this way it keeps flexible and keeps the diameter small and also some protection too. For routing I would follow along the gearbox tunnel drivers side and follow along through the middle just to the left of the seat runner on the drivers seat. might be easier if you take the seat out too just for easier access. Give me a shout if you'd like any other ideas. Smile

*EDIT* forgot to mention I would go under the mat / carpet too. Mine has rubber the harder material to manipulate but it's possible with rubber and carpet. âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸
