Well I fitted it this morning although only plugged it in really and not positioned the cables. The original I put in a bit to well and can't be bothered to mess with it today. Either way you can see why I changed it much better IMO also a little shorter of which the other was to long for what I needed anyway.

When you say under the drivers seat to you man on-top of the removable plate under the seat? Or actually in the seat box underneath. If you mean just under the actual seat then it's a no go there's barely even and inch space there.. So I doubt anything will. What do you currently have in the cubby area? Ideal place really either under it un-top of it behind or so on. If that's in use as mine is then the only option would be bulkhead if you have one or to the rear somewhere. TheThunder Rollsπ¬π§πΊπΈ

Yep, meant on top of the panel under the seat. at the moment i have cable tied the Alpine behind the passenger seat to the bulkhead bar.....it works but not aesthetically the best!
I also thought about putting it in the footwell in front of the seat box but that probably won't be good for knocking it and dirt. if i can find one that id max depth 70mm and up to 21/22mm in diameter I can fit it under the cubby box. the search begins.... BM52 |

Would this fit? I think is one of the smallest ones, although don't know all that much about this sort of thing! Came across it when I bought my Kenwood HU recently. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

How about looking at shallow mount suds and make your own . MDF 24mm thick glued together simples. 70mm is tight though

Don't even mention a 5 channel at this stage it just complicates things. ![]() ![]() ![]() On a different note you know your 6x9's enclosures... Do you have any filling in them or are they empty? TheThunder Rollsπ¬π§πΊπΈ β½οΈπ’οΈβοΈπ§°πͺ |

Been refitting one of them this afternoon for a mate< who just so happens to have those 6x9 enclosures in the back of his 90 ![]() ![]() Sorry Steve missed your earlier post. No those boxes are just empty, no polyfill. BM52, I have just made an enclosure housing 2 X 10 " subs, which sit in front of the bulkhead across the gap between the wheel arches. Will try and post some pictures tomorrow,. It is only 6" wide, and could be made smaller if only going for one sub. You could just coat it all with acoustic carpet would be very much a stealth look, and the sound ace. ![]() |

I reckon they could benefit from a 50% Pollyfill in there it will absorb the reverse cone energy thus putting more out forwards and also trick the speakers (normally Subs) into thinking they are in a bigger box. I have enough of it here if you wanted some call it £5 inc post and it's yours. My cubby / sub box is 50% filled and it made a slight but noticeable difference. Thanks for the offer Steve, But off loaded those enclosures this afternoon.
![]() Was going to advertise then on here for sale, But a mate was looking for something similar, and as I'd offered to help him with another job they sneaked into his 90 wired themselves up and he had to have them. ![]() They were made to measure, hence the size. Changed my set up again, Having bit the bullet and going for Subs, only needed mid and high range as Amp is running HPF now so the 6x9 were taking up space for no real gain. Pictures to follow, but really happy now. ![]() |
