I'll take a pic of mine once it stops raining.
They changed the layout of the bolts and Mantec made a new plate so that you didn't have to drill any holes in the back door - just use the in-situ fittings. You could always call them and I'm sure they'll send out the correct part for the later door. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

It's pretty tight with the standard step bumper - can't really see yours is much different though...

I would invert the nut and bolt, or use a different locking mechanism instead of the nylok, if that's the issue.
