England 1993 Defender 90 200 Tdi HT Epsom Green
clutch master cylinder leaking
I have now replaced the clutch master cylinder twice, the current one is a genuine part one from Paddocks, made by TRW. the 1st one was a Delphi...the Censored thing has started to leak again, never bloody lasts!!!!! have I been putting the wrong clutch fluid in, synthetic DOT 4??? Confused Shocked any ideas?????? its seriously Censored me off now

dot 4 is right mate yeah. Have you reset the stop screw correctly and the push rod adjustment so that the rod runs straight through it's cycle.
140mm pedal to floor pedal height and 1.5mm clearence between pushrod and cylinder piston (approx 10mm at pedal).

does the car stop in a straight line? ie is there a resistance somewhere causing premature failure? Cheers

Is your clutch very heavy ? maybe if it is the master cylinder is having to work at pressures it was not designed to do. When i had a new clutch fitted to my old Turbo Diesel years ago the new clutch was much lighter.Just a thought. 2005 Td5 90 XS
