Buy ordinary checkerplate and have it black anodised.
That way, the cut edges are also black. ![]() |

I used stable matting - the advantage is sound proofing and it can be hosed out
available from mole valley farmers - just down the road |

Not sure rubber would be suitable for my use but I know the stuff you mean. I never thought about the edges on hindsight your right because when cut the edges would be silver. So you think the best idea would be to get regular chequer cut to size and then have it anodised. Where best do you think to get the chequer plating? Rebel 4x4?

Check your local non-ferrous metal stockist. That would be the cheapest way.

Cheers Mark I'll have a look at that. Was wanting to do something under my seats but it must be in black, only as a bit of extra noise reduction etc. Dave

Thanks for the info all of you. At least it's only square cut pieces and not shaped and also flat so shouln't be to bad.
