Black chequer plate
Does anyone know where it is possible to buy black chequer plate from either cut to measure or standardised size sheets? I am thinking of replacing the carpet on the underside of my rear tip up seats in my 90. I think somone else did the same on here? Thumbs Up

Buy ordinary checkerplate and have it black anodised.
That way, the cut edges are also black.

I used stable matting - the advantage is sound proofing and it can be hosed out

available from mole valley farmers - just down the road

Not sure rubber would be suitable for my use but I know the stuff you mean. I never thought about the edges on hindsight your right because when cut the edges would be silver. So you think the best idea would be to get regular chequer cut to size and then have it anodised. Where best do you think to get the chequer plating? Rebel 4x4? Thumbs Up

Check your local non-ferrous metal stockist. That would be the cheapest way.
May be listed as 'treadplate'.

Cheers Mark I'll have a look at that. Was wanting to do something under my seats but it must be in black, only as a bit of extra noise reduction etc. Dave
