Whilst I would not mind a TDV6 Auto. For me the ultimate Defender would be my Puma 90 - but with Lexus build quality. I Know, I know completely mad fantasy land.

The ultimate Defender?

I think I found it, so I bought it and am running around in it. It's called my new Toyota Hilux, what every Defender should be.

Ouch! Hard to say but true.

Back to proper LR's my 90 pickup is the ultimate for me, just got the sprayliner, underseal and Alive stage 3 to go and that will be it finished. Nick

Zag, Not sure why you hate auto Def so much. It's hardly a like for like comparison. I have a 300 auto fitted to my 90. Lifted out of a Disco. Drives lovely, changes up and down exactly when needed. So much better than the LT77 that I had previously. Or perhaps it's just that I'm getting older and getting lazy with my driving. My D3 is auto as well. I don't think I'd have a D3 that was manual if you gave it to me. 110 D250 SE HT

Sorry, but that isn't a Defender - the more posts you put up on the changes to your 90, the more I wonder why you bought a Defender as you seem to want the 'look' in a RR or D4.

I bet you're too scared to add up what you've spent on your 90 to date Rolling with laughter :

Firstly, this post was about total fantasy, if anything were possible, live a little Shocked

Secondly, I don't want the 'look' of a RR. I have one already, and Land Rover produce some fantastic technology across the range of cars they make, most of it could make a fantastic one off car.

The changes I've made to my Defender are stuff that lot's of others have done on this forum, nothing has been non-Defender stuff. A headlining, some interior side panels, a cubby box. That's all I've done. I'd hate to take a ride in yours if you think that's somehow too much to put in a Land Rover, and you're then missing the point about the basis of what they're about, bolting on almost anything you can think of. Mine was a basic 90 Van type, VERY basic, who wouldn't want to improve it?

I know exactly what I've spent on the Defender. I've spent about £700 so far on bits. Not that it's any of your business how I spend my money.

There I was thinking this forum was fun and light hearted. Shame. 2016 D4 HSE

AA yellow NAS 90 running approx 300bhp and a nice manual box

Or

Eastnor green 110 s/w running 3.0 tdv6 auto

Or

Keswick green 90 puma, full soft top, wolf rims and mtrs, safety devices roll cage and split doors

Easy!

Well I'm having fun

Likewise, but I'd describe it more as 'informative' than fun in a good way Mr. Green
