Ericvv I think ours being LHD are slightly different, I also checked mine and can't see any problem. Thumbs Up

Mine doesn't seem to have one - is it somewhere hidden for us LHDs? Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Not hidden at all. When you watch the engine from the driver side of the LH drive vehicle. it is a big bright red bracket located close to the bulkhead. If it is there, can't miss it. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

I just put pipe insulator around the pipe that rubs off the red hoist mount. My puma has 63k miles and pipe wasn't chaffed. Current...07 90 Puma commercial

Just a quick reminder to all owners get the red engine lifting bracket removed... Mine still has it, and now has a bloody great hole in the heater feed pipe where it has been rubbed away..
Now I know why it recently lost 4 litres of water!
I feel a(nother!) warranty claim coming on...

Took my 90 to Stratstones in Burnham last week.. The techie had a look see, and said, "Yup, it's f*$ked.." Took the keys, couriered a new hose in, swapped out the dud, took off the bracket and refilled the coolant.. All in about 4 hours.. Very Happy
And he also found leaking swivel seals, agreed to replace the headlight surrounds, front mudflaps and rear window... It went in today for the bits under warranty.. Pick it up in the morning... I'll shout loud if any work aint been done!!! ... ,-------,

Just to say thanks for the tip. Checking the fluids in preperation for prospective weekends snow, I decided to remove the bracket. Despite tightening the bolts 2 months ago before I read this thread, one had worked loose enough that 2 secs finger tip work removed it. Needless to say I took the Censored off this time!

This should be a bloomin recall notice surely?

^^ Puma 2.2 rear door handle. It is the environmental guys in Solihull's solution to Defender weight saving. The Puma 2.4 has a solid door handle without holes.
But then those same Solihull environmentalists witth the Puma 2.2 added a rubber lead to the fuel cap. So by this they erased 50% of those weight savings again. Rolling Eyes
