Just a reminder, water can also get in between the windscreen rubber and the frame. It often seeps in at the top of the rubber(the roof design sometimes makes this permanently wet depending on melting snow/orientation etc) then tracks down the sides inside the rubber seal to empty at the bottom. This is obviously just above the bulkhead seal inside and you can check by leaving rolled up kitchen roll to see if it gets wet Thumbs Up

p.s. Last year, LR did in fact pop up the roof, change the foam seal, re-finish the inside of the frame (it was all corroding) and fit a new rubber seal and screen (heatinf now works) together with my own new stainless "hinges" - they even coated them blue...no more leaks so far Bow down Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Did you remove the foam rubber strip under the windscreen first or just treat the foam rubber itself?

AND how much would I need for the windscreen surround and the foam? I have a choice between 60 ml and 250 ml and postage from the UK ain't cheap Shocked

Yes I'll get on to it for you. Got an I-phone 3 at the moment and the camera is crap so I'll have to dig out an alternative, the SWMBO's 5 might do it!
