Problem with burned CDs
Car stereo refuses to play any burned CDs .... neither audio nor MP3 .... Sad

The CDs in question work perfectly at home and in all our other car stereos and mobile devices ... Question

Is this normal with the standard CD-player? Best Regards,

Axel

What type of disc are you using and brand?

Are you trying straight copies of CDs?
If not, are the files of the same type?

check that you have "completed" the disc

un-completed CDs work ok on computers but will not on cd players.

Try burning the CD at the slowest speed setting, or change the make of CDs. I have found certain cds/and also colours work better than others. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Hello,

I have tried several brands so far .... TDK, Verbatim, LifeTec ... all CD-R .... and I selected "AUDIO-CD" when burning .. When I look at the files on the CD the tracks are all in format *.cda .... and - as I said - all these CDs play perfectly on my stereo at home and in the car stereos of our other cars ...

Just the LR stereo apparently can't read them .... There is NO problem, however, with ordinary/purchased CDs ... These play just fine ....

I guess, I will have to do some more testing .... I shall try to reduce the speed of the burnig process .... Best Regards,

Axel

Axel, I cant help Im afraid, but on a more interesting note my home town of Sheffield is/was twinned with Bochum. The road around the corner from me is even called Bochum Parkway. I imagine your town of Bochum must have been so excited to be twinned with a Scheiße Loch like Sheffield!
