So just to clarify, 2001 10p td5, will I be able to get cruise control working with the right parts? Or is this for later Ecu only?

Don’t know about the puma defenders but the dual mass flywheel fitted to td5 can give some problems with vibrations on over run and acceleration.

Do you ever have difficulty selecting gears?

Check the bottle isn’t full of black solidified screen wash jelly stuff. That can cause a supply problem.
That csi washer nozzle does look lovely though...
