If engine trys to turn over it's Not the starter solenoid. If it does not turn over but just makes a clicking noise it's probably the solenoid contacts.

| Check your battery terminals are tight especially the earth post. Then check the other side of the cables. Ie negative to chassis and positive on the starter motor. |

Nice one mate.
As I also have a slick shift fitted.
The turret sounds a feasible culperate as it's original and done about 200.0000 miles.
Will look into that. |

This is what I have done on my 110 td5.
Under the bonnet on the heat shield which covers the exhaust manifold drill a 2" hole I the side which faces the wing. ... |
